Local-first · zero-knowledge

Your AI. On your machine.

Private AI runs on your own computer — your chats, your files, your automations, your keys. Nothing lives in someone else's cloud. Reach it from your phone over a relay that can't read a thing.

Free · open to your own AI provider (Claude, OpenAI, or a fully local model)

One private app, everything on-device

The desktop app is the whole thing — it stores your data locally and does the work.

✦

Chat

Talk to Claude, OpenAI, a local Ollama model, or your Claude CLI subscription. History stays in local SQLite.

⚒

Abilities

Give the model real tools — web search, your files, email, and any MCP server — with an agentic tool-use loop.

⚡

Bots

Describe an automation in plain language; it becomes a scheduled .md workflow that runs itself.

▦

Media

Generate images locally with Qwen-Image (fully offline) or via an API, straight into a local gallery.

⇄

Phone mirror

Pair your phone with a QR code and drive your desktop from anywhere over a zero-knowledge relay.

◆

Yours, offline

Pick a local model and it never needs the internet. No account, no sync server, no telemetry.

Private means private

Not a privacy policy — an architecture.

On your machine

All data is local SQLite in your app's folder. There's no cloud database holding your chats.

Zero-knowledge relay

Your phone and desktop are end-to-end encrypted (X25519 + AES-256-GCM). The relay only forwards ciphertext — it can't read a word.

Your keys, sealed

Provider API keys are sealed by the macOS Keychain and never leave your Mac.

Reach it from your phone

Your desktop is the server. Your phone is a secure window into it — no IP setup, no port forwarding.

1

Run the desktop app

It holds your data and does the work, right on your Mac.

2

Scan the pairing QR

Open the phone app, scan the code — a one-time token pairs you and derives a shared key.

3

Mirror, encrypted

Everything between phone and desktop is end-to-end encrypted. The relay just routes sealed bytes.

Get Private AI
